The Christoph Metzelder Foundation has been supporting socially disadvantaged children in Germany since the end of 2006. Regardless of their background and social environment, these children and young people should be able to freely develop their talents and strengths, graduate from school and start their (professional) lives successfully - that is the aim of the Metzelder Foundation.
Founded by former national football player Christoph Metzelder, the foundation focuses increasingly on integrating the areas of "education" and "training" and aims to support young people through school and training over a period of up to five years with homework supervision and learning assistance ("fit for future"). The Metzelder Foundation supports up to 10,000 children and young people in almost 30 projects across Germany every day.
Christoph Metzelder, the host, was delighted that so many guests had come to support the foundation and opened the evening with the words: "I am delighted that so many friends and supporters found their way to Potsdam and contributed to the sensational donation success in favour of my foundation's project work."
Charity events are organised annually to support the foundation, including this year's Golf Charity Cup and the Pre-Golf Gala in Potsdam, which was also attended by Skypak founder Peter Jorge Fischer and business partner André Franzmann. Numerous other entrepreneurs, celebrities and friends of the foundation accepted Christoph Metzelder's invitation.
To further support the success of the foundation, Skypak decided to make a contribution and put one of our popular Barrique trolleys up for auction. The Barrique Trolley was auctioned for 3800€. The proceeds will be donated to the Christoph Metzelder Foundation.
