From Emirates A380 to Design Object: The Story of a Skypak Aircraft Window
How an original window panel from an early Emirates A380 found a second life as a Skypak Limited Edition
Some objects do not need a long introduction. They carry their story with them.
The "Limited Edition" – Emirates Airbus A380-861 Aircraft Window is one of them.
Once part of an Emirates Airbus A380, this original window panel has moved from the fuselage of one of the world’s most recognisable passenger aircraft into an entirely new context.
Today, it has become a Skypak design object — and only one example from this Limited Edition remains available.

The Aircraft Behind the Emirates A380 Aircraft Window
The story begins with Emirates Airbus A380-861 A6-EDG, Manufacturer Serial Number MSN 023.
A6-EDG made its first flight on 6 May 2009 and was delivered to Emirates the same year, making it one of the early A380s in the airline’s fleet.
One detail makes its history particularly interesting: MSN 023.
The Manufacturer Serial Number places A6-EDG among the first 25 A380s produced, connecting the aircraft to the early years of the A380 programme and to the beginning of Emirates’ A380 fleet.
For an original aircraft component, that provenance matters. This is not simply an object that references aviation aesthetics. It comes directly from a specific aircraft with a documented history.

Documented Provenance: A6-EDG, MSN 023
The origin of the Skypak Aircraft Window is confirmed by an original Certificate of Authenticity issued by Emirates.
The certificate identifies the item as Window Panel, Reference Number 062, and confirms its origin from A6-EDG, MSN 023.

It also records when the panel left the aircraft: according to the certificate, it was removed in 2024 during the disassembly of the aircraft at DWC Airport in Dubai.
In a single document, the provenance of the object is preserved: the airline, the aircraft, the serial number and the origin of the component.
That direct connection is what gives the piece its authenticity.
Not Inspired by Aviation. Part of It.
Many objects borrow the visual language of aviation. This one does not need to.
Its aluminium construction, aircraft glazing and distinctive details were created for real use aboard an Airbus A380.
They are not decorative references to aviation. They are part of the original component itself.
Even after leaving the aircraft, those materials and details remain visible, carrying a tangible connection to the life of A6-EDG.
From Original Aircraft Part to Design Object
When its original role aboard A6-EDG came to an end, the window panel could simply have become a collector’s piece.
At Skypak, it was given a second life.
Carefully refined and hand-finished in Germany, the original aircraft component was transformed into a contemporary design object without hiding where it came from.
The mirror-polished aluminium gives the piece a refined new presence, while the Emirates logo and A6-EDG registration preserve a visible link to its past.
At 55 cm high and 45 cm wide, the Aircraft Window brings a fragment of aviation history into an entirely different environment.
In a private interior, executive office, lounge or collection, it becomes a distinctive focal point — not because it imitates aviation, but because it genuinely comes from it.

That contrast is central to its character: a functional aircraft component has become a design object whose materials, form and provenance tell the story.
The Last Skypak A380 Aircraft Window from This Limited Edition
Original aircraft components with documented provenance are finite by nature.
Their individual history cannot simply be reproduced, and neither can their connection to a specific aircraft.
That is what makes the "Limited Edition" – Emirates Airbus A380-861 Aircraft Window particularly special.
Today, only one example from this Skypak Limited Edition remains available.
What once formed part of an Emirates Airbus A380 has left the sky behind.
But its story continues.
