Metzelder Foundation: Skypak sponsors Barrique Trolley
Since the end of 2006, the Christoph Metzelder Foundation has been committed to supporting socially disadvantaged children in Germany. Regardless of their background and social environment, these children and young people should be able to freely develop their talents and strengths, graduate from school, and successfully start their (professional) lives – that is the goal of the Metzelder Foundation.
The foundation, founded by former national soccer player Christoph Metzelder, focuses increasingly on integrating education and training, and aims to support young people through school and training for up to five years by providing homework support and learning assistance ("fit for future"). Nationwide, the Metzelder Foundation supports up to 10,000 children and young people daily in nearly 30 projects.
Christoph Metzelder, the host, was delighted that so many guests had come to support the foundation and opened the evening with the words: "I am very pleased that so many friends and supporters found their way to Potsdam and contributed to the sensational fundraising success for my foundation's project work."
Charity events are held annually to support the foundation, including this year's Golf Charity Cup and the Pre-Golf Gala in Potsdam, which Skypak founder Peter Jorge Fischer and business partner André Franzmann also attended. Numerous other entrepreneurs, celebrities, and friends of the foundation accepted Christoph Metzelder's invitation.
To continue supporting the foundation's success, Skypak decided to contribute and put one of our popular barrique trolleys up for auction. The barrique trolley sold for €3,800. The proceeds will be donated to the Christoph Metzelder Foundation.
